It started snowing here, on Sat. afternoon, and continued until Sun. afternoon.  I needed a snow shovel just to clear the snow off the hood of my truck, so that I could see out through my windshield.
Today, the streets are clear, and the snow is all melting away.  Tomorrow's high, is expected to be around 68°F

I'm curious, too.  Obviously one could stew them...

But, they're too rodent-like to make me want to try one.  I see one and don't think "food" like I do with a cow.

.22, .410, ? Just curious. Sounds like fun. How late do those seasons go where you at?

season ended yesterday..22 rim-fire..I can pretty much hunt year around though, because we produce maple syrup and the critters gnaw on the trees..DEC issued me a nuisance permit

Squirrels are good for stews and pot pies..also good in red and white pasta sauce..It takes 2 squirrels per person to feed my family..they are a dark meat; but, if cooked slowly are excellent table fare.

I've had rabbit.  Tastes like chicken - seriously.

I found it more savory and flavorful than chicken.

I BBQ'ed it which probably changed the flavor.  If I have it again, I'm thinking stew.
