Exactly.  His influence is ending.  The only ones who ever really listened to him are either at the fringe of the Church, converted to more sound doctrine, or apostatized long ago...

The desired effect is akin to putting warning tape around a dangerous or perilous area known as Catholic Education, parents should not feed the bugbear of modernist Land O' Lakes phenomenologists, existentialists, nominalists and other weirdos.

We can't he ran out of the good will of the faithful long ago, he is a heretic of the first order and he brings scandal to the Church by his every word.

May God have mercy on him on the day of judgment.

Just looked at the NCR artical and one of the comments said: "The only true exorcism is Love love of ones neighbor and ones environment the rest is hocus pocus"

That particular person making similar comments repeatedly annoyed me. What's worse, the name "palomas" was used, and I'm sure out fellow FE'er paloma won't be too happy about that.

FYI; the first sign of insanity is not being able to participate in "what if" situations, the second is thinking the TV programs are about you or are revealing some secret parts of your life. That would be the inability to respond to say "Let's pretend he is...".

Bingo.  His kind can see that the pendulum has started swinging back the other way.  They're starting to envision their revolution being overturned, so they're getting more desperate and shrill.

Back around 1990, he was on "Nightline" being interviewed on the subject of Exorcism.  In typical fashion, it was McBrien as the skeptical priest and  a  disbelieving doctor of psychiatry against Fr. Malachi Martin.  Fr. Martin made short work of the both of them.
