Pious people experienced a very dry May, so, when in the beginning of July made their pilgrimage to a shrine of Mary, on the long way they sang: O, Mary, give us rain'.

Next day it was snowing.

So on the way back they sang: 'O Mary, let us understand each other, we asked for rain, not for snow'.


Moral: We cannot secure God's favor, better to accept His will.
