now is it a straight up stick of butter or can I  use the butter for other things, they weren't very specific

I believe it.

People who use Crisco or vegetable oil instead of butter in general are not very bright. (But maybe that's a cause rather than an effect.)

Not to discount the problems that eating an overabundance of sugar will cause, but fats have more calories per gram and can also make you fatter if you eat an overabundance of them.  ;D
