I don't know why anyone would willingly eat whipped vegetable oil (that's what Cool Whip is, mostly) after having tasted the Real Thing.

homemade whiped cream best. try on ice cream. really kicks it up notch

Sounds good either way, but I'm sure the crackliness would only make them better.  ;D

I just layer the wafers one in front of the other...not sideways as shown in the pics

or the lazy mom way and just layer them in an 8x8 dish.

i use those wafers for rum balls. I wish they weren't so expensive!

More than that, I'm not sure I've ever seen it in the North. You, 3Sanctus? And there seem to be two kinds: One is basically chocolate pudding in a pie shell, the other is more like soft fudge.

We have chocolate pie in Canada, mostly the pudding-in-pie shell kind or the frozen McCain's kind.
