We used to call that  "courting martyrdom" as I recall. Definitely wrong. As my theology prof. once put it " You can't parachute into downtown Tehran, stand up in front of the American embassy and say "JESUS died for your sins!"

C.

Yeah; that's suicide, not martyrdom.

No you wouldn't. Don't be naïve.

Somehow I don't see you as an eager subject of Cardinal Schonborn.

That's not the point. While the Church in Austria is certainly poisoned by modernism to a large extent, there's still Christianity in those lands, there are still devotions and traditional masses, there's still a recognizable western civilization around you despite all the sins and errors of the last centuries.

To live under Shariah law is a whole different ball game.

It seems he was (is?) close to the SSPX. That's good to know. We need serious traditional catholics in politics. I wrote him an e-mail to congratulate him on his speech.

If you did you'd get a heck of a lot of hits on YouTube and Liveleak.  You might even beat Susan Boyle.

Beware of socialism. It creates problems like Germany's, and their issues with Turkish immigration.
