Need some book recommendations

I would really try to contemplate God in His mercy towards all creatures. He said that those who are like children will enter the kingdom of heaven. Try to picture before your eyes the most loving mother you can imagine and her affection towards her child. It is impossible that God could be any less loving than that mother, because that would mean that a creature could have greater love than Him. Thus, it must be taken for fact that the Lord's love is infinitely greater and more exalted than that of any creature. A love so passionate that it drove Him to be nailed to the cross.

I know I fail to dwell on this thought way too much, but really, it is important for us to know that God is more than a Judge. He is also a Father.

By the way, did you know that Saint Therese of Lisieux also suffered from temptations against the faith? It is so important to keep praying during such hard struggles.

Also, I recommend that you get this book, Saints Are Not Sad
:

http://www.amazon.com/SAINTS-ARE-NOT-SAD-Biographical/dp/B000KIIOGE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1297277423&sr=8-2

About 7 of the chapters are taken from Saints for Sinners by the excellent Archbishop Alban Goodier. Happily, you can read this whole book for free here:

I recommend starting with the bio of the wonderful St. Joseph of Cupertino!
