Giving up things for lent

I believe the Solemnity of the Annunciation this Friday is also a day to break your fast...I believe it may also be OK to eat meat this day but that may be a NO novelty.

My parish Ordinary Form, if you will, calendar indicates that this coming Friday March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation, is not a day of abstinence.  The bulletin of Mount St. Michaels in Spokane (CMRI) says that it is a day of fast and complete abstinence.

Yeah, this came up in another thread. Under current canon law it appears Solemnities take precedence over all Fridays whereas under the 1917 Code, this was only the case outside of Lent (ie Lenten Fridays would take precedence back then over a feast like the Annunciation).
