Novena to St. Anthony of Padua
Say once a day for nine days, especially beginning on 4 June and ending on 12 June, the eve of the Feast of St. Anthony.

O White lily of purity, sublime example of poverty, true mirror of humility, resplendent star of sanctity.
O glorious St Anthony, who didst enjoy the sweet privilege of receiving into thy arms the Infant Jesus,
I beseech thee to take me under they powerful protection.
Thou in whom the power of working miracles shines forth among the other gifts of God,
have pity upon me and come to my aid in this my great need.

(Mention your intentions here).

Cleanse my heart from every disorderly affection,
obtain for me a true contrition for my sins and a great love of God and of my neighbour that serving God faithfully in this life,
I may come to praise, enjoy and bless Him eternally with thee in Paradise. Amen

Recite one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.

Below is a link to a longer traditional novena to St. Anthony, with a prayer for each day of the novena.

St Anthony was famous for his Miracles:

In Padua, a young man named Leonardo kicked his own mother in a fit of anger.
He confessed his fault to St. Anthony who said to him:
"The foot of him who kicks his mother deserves to be cut off."
Leonardo ran home and cut off his foot. Learning of this, St. Anthony took the amputated foot and miraculously rejoined it.

Near Padua he converted heretics by preaching to the fishes, who showed more respect for the truths of the faith than they did.
The fishes lined up to listen to his preaching. And the people of the city hearing of the miracle, made haste to go and witness it.
With them also came the heretics, who, seeing so wonderful and manifest a miracle, were touched in their hearts;
and threw themselves at the feet of St Anthony to hear his words.
The saint then began to expound to them the Catholic faith.
He preached so eloquently, that all those heretics were converted, and returned to the true faith of Christ.

St. Anthony died in Arcella, strengthened by an apparition of Our Lord and in the "odor of sanctity," at age thirty-six on 13 June, 1231.
After he died, he announced his own death to Abbot Thomas Gallo by appearing to him.

There is a synopsis of some of his miracles HERE:

St Anthony has helped me many many times. I say his chaplet daily, which is 13 Our Fathers, Hail Marys, and Glory be's.
Say this novena, you may be suprised.

St. Anthony is one of the most popular Saints and is especially revered in Portugal, where novenas are made to him in the hopes of finding a spouse, among other things. I don't think it's coincidental that his Feast Day, June 13, is one of the anniversaries of the Fatima apparitions. Not without reason is he called "the Hammer of heretics."

Thank you, Cindy, as always.  I actually started this one without your reminder with the intention of praying for my three-year-old son, Anton, for his protection and vocation.
