Sunscreen Question

Pipe down you two.  I'm as pale as a vampire (ironic since I hate vampires) and intend to stay that way.  No Canadian prairie or meth for me.  I prefer to be wrinkle free with a full set of teeth.  Which is more than most Kansans can say.  :bronxcheer:

Unless a medical doctor determined that you have a Vitamin D deficiency, then you probably shouldn't worry about it. You should, however, worry about skin damage. I'm assuming that your skin is fair.

I'll jump on the bandwagon and give my recommendation. My dermatologist recommended an over-the-counter sunscreen cream made by the French pharmaceutical La Roche-Posay. It's called ANTHELIOS and I use SPF 15. It has UVA and UVB protection. It's also non-greasy and fragrance-free.

It seems all his articles end with "...and buy my product such and such..." I'm not sure I trust him.

This is exactly why I think he's a quack.  All he does is sell his products.

This means all the scientific papers and organizations referenced in his articles are also quacks including and not limited to ;  The Environmental Working Group, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority....etc etc

Slightly related:

Funny thing, I was just talking to my cousin today. He is really big on sun protection, so much so that he wears clothes, hats and gloves that block 100% of sunlight.

Recently, he weaned himself off cow's milk (which is usually fortified with Vitamin D) and was later diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency by his GP.
