There's a lot I like about Murica. A lot. I like to hate on 'em 'cuz I'm Canadian and it's a natural part of my identity, but they're the bees-knees.
That being said, I'll never vie for integration with them. I think the system we have now, of extremely close ties and collegiality, works wonders and we could bloody well rule the world if we wanted to. Canada has gas, a ton of food, and a ton of fresh water, Murica has a lot of guns. Mutual exchange of affluence and Russia is toast.  ;D

Quote:But to stop the scheme, a lot of work remains. If it is to be derailed, Americans and Canadians must be aware of the looming danger. Where the integration campaign will eventually end remains to be seen. But if North American Union advocates get their way, the U.S. Constitution and its Mexican and Canadian counterparts could soon be rendered irrelevant. After that — critics and supporters both agree — plugging the regional units into a global system would be a relatively simple matter. Then, the America that Americans love would essentially be no more.

Also the Canada that Canadians love would essentially be no more.  Is that what you advocate for devotedknuckles, "plugging the regional units into a global system".  It certainly won't be Catholic.
