Our priest this past Sunday said when priests start complaining about the vocation crisis he tells them we have no vocation crisis. When asked to explain he goes on to say Our Lord gives us what we need and not what we want. Since Catholics don't go to Mass anymore we don't need the number of priests. If the Church is dead we aren't going to get new priests. Priests come from a living Church and since our state alone is either the #1 or #2 unchurched state in the country we aren't going to need the priests.
I think my priests point is proven when you look at traditional orders like the SSPX and FSSP who have to turn people away because they have so many vocations. The NO Church is dead so they aren't going to get many vocations...but the traditional orders are alive and get many vocations.

But the priest is 100% correct - there is no vocation crisis.
There USED TO BE a vocation crisis because there were simply too damn many applicants! - thankfully the NO took care of all that as your NO priest confirms.
BTW, WTH are you doing at the NO?

The younger priests I know are infinitely better than the older ones, generally speaking. Lots are interested in learning the TLM or already saying it privately or publicly.

On the contrary, the seminary's are swelling with pedophiles, sodomites, heretics, and immigrants seeking liberty through priesthood.

ABSOLUTELY!
Perhaps the most difficult thing for Catholics to believe is that the crooks have a COMPLETELY different agenda.
The reason for this should be obvious........................true Catholics love the truth.

Silly people. Everyone knows that there is a vocations crisis and that's it's one of the glorious fruits of Vatican II. Cardinal Mahony said it, so it must be true.
