Bishop Mulvey, Father Corapi and the Focolare

You haven't!!  You're being unfairly persecuted!

No, he just belongs to an organization which promotes objectively heretical beliefs and does things more scandalous and harmful than anything Black Sheepdog is being accused of.

Arguably, the Focolare cult is worse than a thousand Father Cuties
Robert Bellarmine, De Romano Pontifice Wrote:Further, after explaining that Felix was for a time an antipope, he continues (no. 15): "Then two years later came the lapse of Liberius, of which we have spoken above. Then indeed the Roman clergy, stripping Liberius of his pontifical dignity, went over to Felix, whom they knew [then] to be a Catholic. From that time, Felix began to be the true Pontiff. For although Liberius was not a heretic, nevertheless he was considered one, on account of the peace he made with the Arians, and by that presumption the pontificate could rightly [merito] be taken from him: for men are not bound, or able to read hearts; but when they see that someone is a heretic by his external works, they judge him to be a heretic pure and simple [simpliciter], and condemn him as a heretic."

This was true of Honorius. Then, how much more it's true of rats like Mulvey?

Setting aside the sarcasm for a moment, you seem to think that Church authorities are irresistible in all circumstances for one thing. For another, Fr. Corapi has already resigned in a canonically legal process, approved by the very same authority of the Church.  Why do you seem to have a problem with that?  If so, why aren't you mad at the Church authorities?

Quote:  Thank heavens we have great priests like Johnny Corapi to lead us past these degenerate old bishops.

What exactly has Corapi done that makes you think he's "leading" people past these degenerate old bishops.  BTW, was Archbishop Weakland a degenerate old bishop?

But I'd love to know where Corapi has told anyone to resist the authorities in the Church?  What exactly are you talking about?

Quote: (Just be careful when you're following him through Sacramento on a Saturday night.)

....Oh....that's just buying into gossip. Or do you have firsthand experience with this? What would you find if you'd followed Bishop Weakland around?

Quote:  What WAS Jesus thinking when He instituted the hierarchical Church.

Did Jesus institute the same hierarchical Church that teaches threefold obedience? (of which false obedience is sinful to follow) Or did Jesus establish a Church of absolute obedience?

Quote: He should have just relied on the cult-of-personality model of leadership favored by protestants, tween girls, and half the people here.

Which part do you fit in? I would be curious from the answers to the very simple questions above if you are willing to put your claims up for review against the teaching of the Church to see if you are accurately representing the truths of the faith or whether you've bought into some Protestant perversion?

Quote: I hear tell that if those old bishops are scoundrels in their personal lives it makes their sacraments invalid as well. Something to think about!

Question: If their intention is not to do what the Church does in the administration of the sacraments, and the form has been deviated from, can one have reasonable doubts about validity?
