Ossuary of the Granddaughter of Caiaphas Found in Israel
New evidence about the man who was connected to the Crucifixion of Jesus

Jerusalem (kath.net/idea) In Israel an approximately 2000 year old bone case (Ossuar) from the surrounding precinct of some of the last high priests in Old Israel has been discovered. It bears the inscription "Miriam Daughter of Jeshua, son of Caiaphas, Priest of Maasiah of the House Imri". According to the Israeli Authority of Antiquities the case is authentic.

Every time they find  an ossuary  supposedly related to a biblical figure it later turns out to be a forgery.

Yeah, I looked at an article on another newspaper. It does look interesting, but I have just been burned to many times before. 

In the end, it really doesn't matter.  I guess kind of cool.

I wonder if in the case they also found 30 pieces of silver.

Probably not as the 30 pieces of silver were used to purchase a beggar's burial plot.  And this is the grandaughter of Caiaphas.

For all we know she converted to Christianity :-p
