Beer or Wine?
#11
I used to only drink red wine because I figured it was better for you.  But it does tend to give me a bit of a hangover.

I really like beer best.  Especially darker or red beers.  There's alot of local brews in Texas that I like.  I like Foster's too ([Image: wink.gif] Marty)

I find that good beer is more digestible than wine, don't know if it has anything to do with additives in the wine.  It also fills me up before I can get too drunk.

Both just as long as they're unpasteurized/unprocessed/raw and organic! Raw, unfiltered beer is so good.

I'm a Shiraz fan myself. I think the Aussies make the best! As for beer, my personal favorite is MacTarnahan's Blackwatch Cream Porter.

The Clancy Brothers have a song that pretty well sums up my view on the matter . . .

BEER, BEER, BEER

   Beer, Beer, Beer,
   Tiddley beer, beer, beer.

A long time ago, way back in history
When all there was to drink was nothing
       but cups of tea
Along came a man by the name of
       Charlie Mops
And he invented a wonderful drink and
he made it out of hops

He must have been an admiral, a sultan
       or a King
And to his praises we shall always sing
Look what he has done for us, he’s
       filled us up with cheer
Lord bless Charlie Mops the man
       who invented beer

   Beer, Beer, Beer,
   Tiddley beer, beer, beer.

The Furey’s bar, the Clancy’s pub, the
hole in the wall as well
Of one thing you can be sure of, it’s
       Charlie’s beer they sell
So come on all me lucky lads, at
       eleven o’clock ye stop
   For five short seconds, remember
       Charlie Mops
   One, two, three, four, five

He must have been an admiral, a sultan
       or a King
And to his praises we shall always sing
Look what he has done for us, he’s
       filled us up with cheer
Lord bless Charlie Mops the man
       who invented beer

   Beer, Beer, Beer,
   Tiddley beer, beer, beer.

A barrel of malt a bushel of hops,
You stir it around with a stick
The type of lubrication to make your
       engine tick
Forty pints of wallop a day will keep
       away the quacks
It’s only eight pence halpenny a pint
and one and six in tax
   One, two, three, four, five

He must have been an admiral, a sultan
       or a King
And to his praises we shall always sing
Look what he has done for us, he’s
       filled us up with cheer
Lord bless Charlie Mops the man
       who invented beer

   Beer, Beer, Beer,
   Tiddley beer, beer, beer.
   Tiddley beer, beer, beer.
   Lord bless Charlie Mops!

Can I play...Even though I am not a trad?

I like both...I drink red wine every night (I've had a heart attack, so that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it).

Beer...I'll drink Miller Lite, but my very favorite is Gueniss (sp?)  That foam is fantastic!  Too bad it is so epensive...But worth every penny.

Beer, definitely. After all, I am a pan-Germanic ideologian - well, according to handel at least. I'll drink anything, but not Cölsch (from Cologne).

I drank my very first actual beer in Rome on Thursday, March 23. :D It was roughly half of a 33cL bottle of Budweiser.

If that is the case, then you still haven't had your first beer.

I love a good Shiraz made in Australia which is without doubt the world's best - I was delighted to find some decent bottles when in the US recently
