There is No Name under Heaven besides Jesus in which we can be saved. Since JESUS and the CATHOLIC CHURCH are one and the same (The Mystical Body of Christ) then that is where the dogma No Salvation Outside the Church gets its authority from.

Short answer, I am Catholic because I met Our Lord, loved him so much that I wanted to know everything about him, and that led me straight to His Church. I could never leave.

John 6:68 And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life
