General Confession to a SSPX priest

Without getting into the batshit crazy arguments about jurisdiction, why does it have to be an SSPX priest? I understand your concerns, tho' I think you are tending toward scrupulosity, but a general confession can't hurt. Just find a good, solid, orthodox priest to talk to, regardless of affiliation.

Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly, but the problems seem to stem from you, not your Confessors. I don't see how it's the Confessors fault when you can't remember the number of times you committed a sin or that you're just now getting around to putting up a porn blocker.

I'm not trying to be rude or mean here. Perhaps you need anger from your Confessor; the "loving approach" doesn't seem to be working, does it?

Some of the best guidance I received from a Confessor still sticks with me, especially when I feel tempted to commit sins of impurity; Father simply said "These sins will send you to Hell. So don't be stupid."

Well I do think that the arguments about jurisdiction are valid. Confession is an important matter, and I wouldn't stake the salvation of my soul on the SSPX's dubious arguments for their having jurisdiction. Then again I also wouldn't trust a lot of Novus Ordo priests to say seven words ("I absolve you from your sins") properly. Usually I try to find one who can, since my area only has the TLM, but no confessions in the traditional rite. I could ask a priest to use the traditional formula of absolution, but I feel that would draw unnecessary attention to me as a penitent, not to mention give a lot of priests the opportunity to invalidate the sacrament by botching the Latin badly!

I was blessed for a long time. My spiritual director who was also my confessor always gave me absolution in the old rite. He also administered Holy Communion to me using the old form.

Well, that priest obviously doesn't understhad that i never new it was a mortal sin because i didnt install the filters.. Well now i have the filters installed and they dont even block all the sites....These semi porn sites have a blocking of their own to prevent others filters company from blocking then!!! Obviously its the devil at work sooo strong!!! Yes, i dont all of us, only a few will get into heaven via purgatory most will go strait to hell! And telling me to put a block on my site was not his penance, so i dont understand how it can be a mortal sin since i didnt even know it was!!!

Is it really that hard to avoid pornography? It shouldn't be.

I think you have too much time on your hands (no pun intended).

Its not a mortal sin if you didnt know it. As for porn, if something unexpectedly shows up, simple delete or close it. I have some sort of a block/filter on this pc, so I dont get that, but I do seem to win lots of money every day, via Nigeria scammers, if only I would send them $5000 for processing...
