Well now i have the filters installed and they dont even block all the sites....These semi porn sites have a blocking of their own to prevent others filters company from blocking then!!! Obviously its the devil at work sooo strong!!! Yes, i dont all of us, only a few will get into heaven via purgatory most will go strait to hell! And telling me to put a block on my site was not his penance, so i dont understand how it can be a mortal sin since i didnt even know it was!!!

Crusader, porn sites will not just simply show up.  And if they do, it's because you're already on one.  Same with "semi" porn sites, although to a lesser extent.  I don't really know exactly what you're talking about, but the more shoddy low end websites might have provocative ads- but not porn.

I would evaluate what you're doing on the computer when they pop up.  Surely you've noticed a pattern.  Ask yourself if whatever you're doing that is provoking these sites to pop up is worth it.  I wouldn't imagine it to be.

I don't really see the point of a porn blocker.  Unless you had someone else working with you, you'd know the password so as far as I'm concerned thats just a waste.  When you're tempted, pray.  You will not be abandoned.  Remember the devil is usually more vigilant than us.  We cannot simply resist him on our own.

Go thy ways, old Jack;
die when thou wilt, if manhood, good manhood, be
not forgot upon the face of the earth, then am I a
shotten herring. There live not three good men
unhanged in England; and one of them is fat and
grows old: God help the while! a bad world, I say.
I would I were a weaver; I could sing psalms or any
thing. A plague of all cowards, I say still.

How many sacrilegious confessions did I go to because I failed to put a filter on my computer... I'm actually  almost getting to the point of taking my laptop and smashing it with a hammer!! :( :( :(

Not having a porn filter on your PC is NOT a mortal sin. Viewing porn is. If you confessed to the impurity, they were NOT sacrilegious confessions. Keep the filter now that you have it and PRAY when you are tempted. Pray the Three Hail Marys for purity and invoke the Prince of the Heavenly Host, St Michael Archangel. :pray: :pray: :pray: for you.

Okay, so either the priest was in error or there was miss communication between myself and the confessor??

At any rate, thanks for the prayers!

I think there was a serious miscommunication.

That's what Christ mean when he said the bit about chopping your hand off. It's not to be taken literally but it a computer is causing you to sin, then get rid of the computer.

I've confessed viewing pornography to a traditional priest and he didn't say anything about needing a filter.

Yeah, drastic actions may have to be taken!
