Second collection?

No he is not right. He is an armchair theologian. Let the pastor do his job and he should mind his own business!

Why doesn't he just ignore it?  Do the ushers make noise when collecting?
If it bothers you, just don't give anything, ignore them, and close your eyes if you are distracted.  Try not to be the liturgical police.  Many on this forum could tell you from experience that it's not good for your heart.
