The hacking of Fisheaters.

Hackers Declare War on Christianity; attack Christian websites, including the Vatican.

The hacker group "Anonymous" is quoted as saying, “Anonymous decided today to besiege your site [Vatican website] in response to the doctrine, to the liturgies, to the absurd and anachronistic concepts that your for-profit organization spreads around the world,” "This attack is not against the Christian religion or the faithful around the world but against the corrupt Roman Apostolic Church." 01

But it doesn't look like all their members got the memo because quite a few protestant websites were targeted.

Considering that Fisheaters might have been a victim of this assault, I thought it might be a good idea to look into this group that calls itself Anonymous. What follows are some of my thoughts on what I found:

For those that aren't familiar with Anonymous, it is the name adopted by a leaderless loosely-knit group of nameless, faceless computer hackers and activists whose members consider themselves masked anti-heroes.  The Guy Fawkes mask has been adopted as their symbol and uniform.

The most prominent aphorism used as a self-description for "Anonymous" is:

"We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us." Does this remind you of something?:

And He (Jesus) asked him (the man), "What is thy name?" And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion: for we are many." --The Gospel of Mark, 5:9

Another self-description by Anonymous is:

"We just happen to be a group of people on the internet who need just kind of an outlet to do as we wish, that we wouldn't be able to do in regular society. ... That's more or less the point of it. Do as you wish. ... There's a common phrase:  "We are doing it for the lulz."

Where have we heard this before? ... Oh, yeah: "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law." --Aleister Crowley

Although Anonymous is a diverse group, if you explore their Internet subculture, a general image emerges.  They appear as a loosely-knit group of computer savvy, atheistic anarchists with an affinity for dark humor, pornography, and the free use of profanity, all in the name of "non serviam."

One of the ironies of their attack on the Catholic Church is their use of the Guy Fawkes mask, the same Guy Fawkes who planned to assassinate 'King James I' and restore the Catholic monarchy to the throne (see Gunpowder Plot).

I've just scratched the surface here in regards to Anonymous, and I'm aware of my bias in this post, but that's because it really provoked my anger when they decided to attack the Church.

Anonymous says "Viva la Revolution," and I say Viva Cristo Rey!

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”

Thanks Might-4-Right for doing the homework. I see this as an extension of all the other secular satanic push that we are witnessing now. It is going to be a rough ride folks. Pray Hard.
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen..

Go thy ways, old Jack;
die when thou wilt, if manhood, good manhood, be
not forgot upon the face of the earth, then am I a
shotten herring. There live not three good men
unhanged in England; and one of them is fat and
grows old: God help the while! a bad world, I say.
I would I were a weaver; I could sing psalms or any
thing. A plague of all cowards, I say still.

This is exactly what Anonymous is and what we tried to explain in an earlier topic regarding this disgusting group.

One poster commented that she or he trusted Anonymous more than government agencies (Anonymous claimed to hack the FBI.)  I and others tried to point out that A) they have no right to invade or deface the property or communications of government entities B) Anonymous is an anti-Christ group.

Do we know that Anonymous is responsible for taking down our forum?

Looks like Anonymous got us.. Not much was lost, praise God... They could have wiped out the entire database (though it's backed up) and done a lot more damage, but - well, here we are.
