DutChurch Castration Scandal
#11

Maybe in those days they actually thought castration could cure homosexuality.  Such as nowadays there are proposals to castrate paedophiles.

So? It only makes it worse.

The Dutch Catholic Church continues to this day to be a hive of heretics and sodomites. What has happened? Zilch.

This! The Council ended on 8 December 1965. In 1966, the Dutch issued the 'Dutch Catechism', of which Wikipedia says:

Quote:The Dutch Catechism of 1966, the first post-Vatican II Catholic catechism, reflects the Magisterium of the Dutch bishops. It was commissioned and authorized by the Catholic hierarchy of the Netherlands.

It was so anti-Catholic that:

Wikipedia Wrote:Bishop Robert F. Joyce of Burlington, Vt., withdrew his imprimatur (permission to publish) from the American edition, and Holland's Bernard Jan Cardinal Alfrink complained that the book was going to press with an unauthorized use of his original imprimatur. Los Angeles' James Francis Cardinal Mclntyre banned it from the church-run bookstore in his archdiocese. The stores operated by Boston's Daughters of St. Paul also refused to display it.

So I'm not surprised at what happened in Holland in the 50s.
