Santa Cruz, CA church defaced, Bl. Serra baptismal font broken
Someone else on another site brought up this point, one I was wondering about too, why  was this valuable piece of our Catholic heritage, the baptismal font brought up by Bl. Fr. Serra,  left out in a garden in the first place?? If it wasn't being used for it's true purpose, then why was it not at least put in the little museum there at the Mission? What I would have given to have been baptized in it myself (I was baptized at this parish). Instead, I was baptized in a horse trough (no, really, I am not kidding).
