"Rio" electronic cigarettes
#1
I was at the store yesterday and I saw these new things called "Rio", they're electronic cigarettes.

I've seen many e-smoking devices before, but these were different in that they had no nicotine whatsoever in them. They do have flavours, but that's all.

I don't smoke, never have, and I don't plan on starting either. It'd kill me. But, these electronic cigarettes: are they 100% safe to use for non-smokers? Say, for theatrical purposes?

I'm wondering because children can easily buy them due to the fact you don't need to be 18 or over to buy them, and they might start real smoking from these. AND, I think they're pretty cool. I'd like to help my Father quit smoking, it's killing his lungs and he's denying it.

Yes, they're safe. The vapor is made of propelyne glycol and vegetable glycerin, which are both FDA approved. Not that I'm a huge FDA fan, but they're approved as non-hazardous to health. Flavoring as also usually made from natural flavoring oils, not anything artificial.

E-cigs are a great way to quit smoking, they have helped me immensely.
