WWI Trench Chapel
I just saw this while research another topic. It's a French Catholic chapel built into a trench complex during the Great War. There's no story attached but the fact that it was built and still remains really impressed me. The mural behind the altar looks hopeful, something those poor soldiers must have needed going to the end.

Thanks for sharing, Richard!  That is a beautiful little chapel.

I found the last surviving battlefield grave to be particularly touching.
Did they leave any designs behind?  We may have to go back to those chapels again in the future.
