DR has it this way:  [4] Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.

"Possess the land", I'm guessing is a reference to Canaan. We know that Canaan, the land of milk and honey is a prefigurement of Heaven. Our Lord Jesus is meek and humble of heart, even unto death and this is how He won our salvation. So, we're to be imitators of Christ and do likewise, all the way to Heaven.
