I am not. I am saying that Rome teaches fallacy and a false ecumenical religion. The "seat" is occupied however.

No, I say there is a picture of a Pope failing his flock. Who now have to pay the price. And that is what +Fellay is addressing when he blames Rome.
Yeah, the Holy Father should have spit in Obama's eye, right? Get real, man. Pope Pius XII wouldn't have done such a thing even though he wrote Mit Brennender Sorge:

Pope Pius XII is pictured here with soldiers of the Weimar Republic - taken in October of 1927. The hats may be similar, but these are not Nazis.

He wasn't the pope yet in that picture.

Ha, that's another good point. But these poor soldiers don't deserve the reputation that the internet has given them either.
John Cornwell knew what that picture showed when he misleadingly put it on the cover of his book. It was pretty despicable of him.

But, if anything, the Weimar Republic was worse than Nazi Germany, since it accepted the heretical principle of religious liberty, no?

Yes, Pheo. Hitler didn't gain power for another six years with the Reichstag fire & the Enabling Act in 1933.

Yes, but modern man has epitomized evil with Nazi Germany. Only Hitler is in Hell.

I've seen very little of Pope Benedict but from what I've seen, I've noticed that he never seems to bless the crowds that go to see him. What a lost opportunity for graces that is, in my opinion.

It was certainly more decadent yes but point 24 of the National Socialist German Workers Party says: "We Profess a Positive Christianity but all religions not hostile to the state or race will be tolerated" Thats a paraphrase. And Catholicism was one of those religions considered hostile to the state.

No he didn't need to spit in his eye but, to use your example, he could have signed a treaty with BO saying that Catholic institutions would not be forced to sell contraception or perform abortions. Kinda like Pius did with the Nazis regarding the Nazi state not harassing the Church. But then again Benedict is NO Pius.
