An early death?  And yes, I am prepared.

We cling so tenaciously to our lives, yet everyone must die, without exception.  It's the last great adventure.  I'm looking forward to it, in a "satisfy my curiosity" type of way, not in a "I'm gonna kill myself" (or even "top myself" if I was a British ponce) way.

It sounds like good news for mice. But until you have human clinical trials, it ain't much.
"The dosages in most resveratrol supplements are typically far lower than the amounts that have been shown beneficial in research studies. Most supplements contain 250 to 500 milligrams of resveratrol. To get the equivalent dose used in some animal studies, people would have to consume 2 grams of resveratrol (2,000 milligrams) or more a day.

The bottom line: Until more high-quality research is available, experts say they can't recommend resveratrol supplements for antiaging or disease prevention."

This has been a useful thread for me.

A family member (in-law) is an ardent supporter of a certain health company which sells a  product with resveratrol.  She has convinced my Mom to take the product, not for aging, but for an eye condition. Mom has barely started with it and I am going to be sure she has checked it out with her doctor, because she does have a problem with blood thinning.

Unfortunately saying "no" to this family member sometimes causes hard feelings, so we sometimes say yes without being totally enthusiastic or convinced.  But we have to take care of our health.

Thanks for the thread.
