How to debate like a Catholic?
Thank you all so much! I'd seen the angelus press Fallacy Detective, but I was unaware of the rest.
A good basic entry level book is The Art of Deception: An Introduction to Critical Thinking, by Nicholas Capaldi. (He's not teaching you to deceive, but recognize deception through fallacy etc.) A standard course is Introduction to Logic, by Copi and Cohen. Very good also are Modern Scholars' Ethics: A History of Moral Thought, Philosophy of Thomas Aquinas, and Faith and Reason: The Philosophy of Religion, all by Peter Kreeft and Way With Words: Writing, Rhetoric, and the Art of Persuasion, by Michael D.C. Drout. In fact, I need to revisit them myself!
