CANDLEMASS!
Happy Feast of the Purification,
I recorded a special Homily this week which was written by his grace Jacques-Bénigne Bossuet (September 27, 1627 – April 12, 1704) (he is considered to be one of the greatest homilists of all time). It does go into detail about the different aspects of the Liturgical rituals of the old law and their relationship the to life of Christ. He also discusses the perfect unity between Jesus and Mary in their poverty and their early life of hiddenness.
One of My Favorite Parts
"Surely — besides the mystery of its conformity to the conduct of Jesus — we have, in this unbroken silence and reserve of Mary’s, a most beautiful picture of a soul perfectly satisfied with the testimony of God and its own conscience alone."

I am soo looking forward to hearing this. I love Bishop Bossuet. I have read his Continuity of Religion which was part of the course materials he used to teach the son of King Louis XIV. I've also read his Devotion to the Blessed Virgin and I've recently received although not read his meditations for advent. He is wonderful.
Today began with Gueranger. Then a Candlemas procession and Solemn High Mass. Now this.
What a grace.
Thanks!

This is Chapter 7 of Bishop Bossuet's "Devotion to the Blessed Virgin". Your audio is very nice. Thanks again.

Sorry for the let down :( when you said it in your initial post it did not click because I was thinking of the full title of the Book I used
"Devotion to the Blessed Virgin: Being the Substance of All the Sermons for Mary’s Feasts throughout the Year" Longmans 1899
Thanks for listening :)
