Pope Saint Celestine V Ran away from Pope Boniface VIII
In this chapter of the Audiobook on the Life of St Celestine, we learn about how his requests to return home to his hermitage are denied, despite it being a main reason why he steps down from the Papacy.  Despite being ordered by his successor to accompany him on a journey, St Celestine V runs away at an opportune moment, however because of providence his unable to escape the hands of Boniface forever.  Some people even encourage St Celestine to take back the papacy but he refuses saying ""Far be it from me to cause dissension in the Church. I did not give up the Papacy to take it back again; and I am still of the same mind come what may."
