Reading the Papal tea leaves - Crisis Magazine article

I didn't see this posted anywhere else so I figured I would share it.  It puts into one location many of the things which have come out or happened since the pontificate of Pope Francis began.  I have to admit, after reading this, and in combination with the other things which have come out here and elsewhere, I am deeply disturbed at the potential direction of our Holy Father.

I very much hope I am wrong and I would be overjoyed to eat a massive plate of crow on this, but I cannot help having the feeling that something is very wrong in all of this.  To top it off, I feel like a horrible Catholic for having these thoughts, and even worse for expressing them.

Ugh.

Who really cares much that  H. Kung or Card Mahony are happy about Pope Francis? There's far too much fretting at the forum. God is in control and we mustn't worry about such things.

Yes, but it takes more than that to restore/run the church
