The thread title is misleading.  This wasn't some juridical act of the CDF approving certain doctrines once condemned or permitting all forms of liberation theology. It was a speech of the prefect at a particular event.

In fact, when the CDF under Cardinal Ratzinger did actually act, it produced a document which did not condemn all forms of Liberation Theology, but only certain deviations of it.  If anything, it was more of a "yellow light."  There would be a story bigger story here (one that would actually fit the thread title) if Muller uses his post to have the CDF affirm specifically any points that were considered contrary to Christianity by this prior document.  I have not read Muller's book on this, so I'm not sure if his opinions deviate from the conclusions of that document or not.
