Our Lady of Fatima: Miracle in the Philippines
#1
On the day after His Holiness Pope Francis consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, while commemorating the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, hopefully contemplating the yet unfulfilled request of Mary to consecrate, with all the world's bishops, Russia to her Immaculate Heart, and to release the Third Secret, lest God punishes the world with a great chastisement, a miracle occurred in the Philippines.

A large earthquake hit the southern Philippines. It's epicenter was the island of Bohol. It also occurred in the nearby island of Cebu. The death count is 160+, and 250+ injured. The people noticed a pattern. The main buildings to collapse were the old churches. In several of these churches the only thing that remained standing was a statue of Mary. Here is one story: http://johnib.wordpress.com/2013/10/17/i...aith-hope/

Yet, the most profound sign came from the most visited Marian Shrine in the Philippines on the island of Cebu, called Mama Mary shrine. There is a large, miraculous statue of Mary in this shrine, that has cried and cured many pilgrims. In the same church there is another statue of Mary, that appears to be Our Lady of Fatima. It has a base with the word "Portugal" on it. This base is continuous with the statue. They are one piece. The base cannot be detached from the body. Otherwise the statue would be broken into two pieces.

Here is the great miracle, which seems to be a message, a warning from Our Lady of Fatima. Right after the earthquake, pilgrims noticed and cried out in alarm that this statue had changed. Mary was now facing the wall, with her back to the people. But, the base itself, molded to the body of the statue, was still facing forward with the "Portugal" inscription!

I will try and upload the pic asap (not working from my phone).

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!  May Pope Francis and the world's bishops do as Our Lady requested.

Wow... If this is all factual, this is really something...

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Very interesting, I know bishops in the Philippines usually investigate these things, I hope we hear more about it. Can you tell me christulsa123 where you got the photograph from? Have there been any news reports of it in the Philippines? Thanks.

My wife's friend received it from Filipinos on Facebook.  When I get a chance, I'll see what more I can find out.

THANK YOU Vox for posting the picture.

If the statue is still joined to the base, and has turned by itself, again meaning still attached to it's base, this message is obvious. Our Lady has said in different apparitions she is holding her Son's arm up, in an allusion to Moses and Miriam, it can only mean she has let His Arm go and has turned from us in shame.

Most Sacred Heart f Jesus have mercy on us.

Immaculate Heart of mary pray for us.

Most Precious Blood of Jesus save us.

That does seem to be the obvious meaning behind her facing away, and just after the earthquake occurred.

What needs to be verified is that the statue was and continued to be one with the base. And that the front that we see saying "Portugal" is in fact the front. I will try and see if there are before and after photos.

The abbot of the monastery that oversees Mama Mary shrine knows the chaplain of the Society chapel on that island of Cebu, and invited him once to say the TLM at their shrine (the pastor can grant such a permission), and my wife knows this Society priest well, plus people in the Cebu chapel where she used to attend. We will see what we can find out.

That is an amazing occurrence if it can be validated. Out of curiosity, Is there a picture of the statue when it initially faced forward?

Chris,

My wife is wanting to know the location of this shrine.

Also, I knew that there may have been some sort of connection between Moses striking the rock twice  Pope Francis' second consecration of the world and this enormous earthquake in a supposedly God-protected heavily Catholic island.

In my mind, I recalled how after the first consecration of the world, the USSR fell.  What happened this time?  The Republicans failed again and the US government shut down ended.  And, oh yeah, a huge earthquake came along and destroyed colonial Spanish-era churches in one of the last Catholic countries on earth.

If the phenomenon of this statue is true, the implications are dire for us all.  The Holy Mother has pleaded with the world for years.  Perhaps this is a gesture that she is now turning her back?

Thanks Christulsa123, there is usually media coverage of something like that in the Philippines. Thanks for keeping us posted. God bless you.

I haven't heard about this.  We will hopefully be going to Cebu on the 29th to renew my daughter's passport and I'll ask about this and maybe even go to the Church where the Statue is located.  Yes, it is true that there is a miraculous "Fatima/Lourdes" place in the island of Cebu where many cures have taken place.  I need a cure myself of my respiratory ailment (3/4 of my lungs not functioning) but I have decided against it because I believe that God has sent me this affliction so I have a means of paying for all my past sins, a means of offering it for the conversion of sinners and for the poor Souls in Purgatory, but above all to offer it for the love of Jesus and His Sorrowful Mother.  I will let you know what I find out..
