Card O'Malley too busy with Ecumenism to protect flock
The freedom of a Catholic to criticize the hierarchy or question its teaching is circumscribed by Canon 212 of the Code of Canon Law and paragraphs 25-41 of Donum Veritatis:  On the Ecclesial Vocation of the Theologian, an instruction of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Too many traditionalists have arrogated to themselves a supposed right to offer criticism in any manner they like.  That is not Catholic.
