Diocese of Albany, New York Finally Gets a New Bishop!!
#1
After 37 years of the reign of Bishop Howard Hubbard the diocese of Albany has recieved a new Bishop. Father Edward Scharfenberger 66  of the Diocese of Brooklyn is the new Bishop. Hubbard was quickly replaced after only 3 months past the mandatory retirement age of 75. Does anybody know anything about the new Bishop?

Here is the Crimes Union story.  http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/...223855.php

He is a Monsignor and a Lawyer. He allowed himself to be" touched" by Hubbard, so I'm thinking he is not to smart.

Is he going to put Cuomo in his place? If not, it only affirms my belief that the American Bishops have no back bone.

I thought that Cuomo was told that if he happens to attend mass that he is not to recieve Holy Communion.
