How about Sister Lucia dos Santos, who acknowledged Pope Paul VI as the pope and even attended his Mass during the pope's 1967 trip to Fatima?  Not to mention her acknowledgment of Pope John Paul II as pope.

Should we trust their judgment on the question of who is a legitimate pope, more than our own?  Do sedevacantists trust the judgment of those two saintly souls on the matter?

Then I take it that, either this statement of yours isn't always accurate, "Yes, but saintly souls are certainly to be trusted more than ourselves," or sedevacantists don't consider Padre Pio and Sister Lucia dos Santos to be saintly souls.

And if the statement is not accurate in regard to Padre Pio, then it may not be accurate in regard to alleged prophecies from centuries ago either.

But Catholics must not a priori dismiss private revelations that do not contradict Church teaching.

Nor are we bound to believe them even when they are not contrary to church teaching.
