July 4 (no meat Friday) BBQ anyone?
#11
I had hot dogs yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday evening, I cooked for over 20 people.  I cooked grilled Swiss cheese, avocado, bacon and tomato sandwiches on pumpernickel fried in olive oil with basil pesto spread on the outside of one slice of bread; leftover paglia e fieno from a similarly large dinner I cooked Thursday evening; and steamed yellow and green zucchini tossed with a little olive oil and fresh chopped basil.

My penance was slaving over a hot stove.   :)

i ate bratwurst burgers and hot dogs, we were guests at a party and out of town and its not a sin so i enjoyed time with my family. i did get to go to confession with my immedaite family the next day so that was a plus for the trip.

if i was at home i would have observed and had a shrimp boil.

i am glad theres the dispensation from pius xii for thanksgiving though.
