From LifeNews comes this lovely little story.

Ya know, one'd think the Catholic-haters would get tired of it at some point, eh? They're so unimaginative:

Sacrilegious Cinemax Show “The Knick” Features Nun Performing Abortion
by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 8/18/14 6:52 PM

A sacrilegious television show on the Cinemax cable television channel is coming under fire from Catholics today because it features a nun performing an abortion.

The Knick is a television drama series on Cinemax directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Clive Owen. The program looks at the professional and personal lives of Dr. John W. Thackery (played by Owen) and the staff at the fictional Knickerbocker Hospital (“the Knick”) during the early part of the twentieth century. Abortion was not legal during this time.

theknickThe August 15 episode of “The Knick” features Sister Harriet, a nurse played by Cara Seymour who runs an orphanage and who visits an Irish Catholic woman, Nora, who wants an abortion. The woman doesn’t want her husband to find out.

During the exchange, Sister Harriet says: “Your husband will know nothing of it. I promise.”

“Will God forgive me? I don’t want to go to hell for killing a baby,” Nora asks.

“He knows that you suffered. I believe the Lord’s compassion will be yours,” the Catholic nun responds.

At this point, audience is led to believe that the nun performs the abortion.

Bill Donohue of the Catholic League is upset by the program.

“It is no secret that Hollywood is a big pro-abortion town, but to depict a nun who performs an abortion is a new low,” he told LifeNews.com. “The only saving grace in this episode is the real-life recognition of the woman who is about to have the abortion: she admits that her baby is going to be killed.”

I think in  this line right here it says a lot about the motives of the modernists within the Church. The seed was planted and it has taken root. Now, growing uncontrolably into the world at large.

I wrote my letter to Mr. Cocozza:

Paisan', is this crap for real? You guys really have a show out there that shows a freakin' nun giving some girl an abortion? WHY? And why, especially, from a man named Cocozza?

Why don't folks pick on the Muslims or Jews or Hindus or Worshippers of the Great Thumb once in a while? Why is it always --- always! -- Christians, and most especially Catholics? What, do we have "Kick Me" signs on our backs or something? This stuff has been going on since the so-called "Reformation"! Ya think it'd get old after 500 years, dang! Get some new material, man! We've got Muslims slaughtering us in the Middle East, and are getting kicked in the teeth here in the US and in Europe.

I know some folks don't like the contraception thing and the Church's stance against gay marriage, but it's not as if anyone has a gun to y'all's heads forcing conversion or anything, for crying out loud (and in case you bought into some lies somewhere along the line, the Church has never, ever condoned forced conversion. Ever!). You want to wear a condom? So wear one and be happy! Why the hell do folks who disagree with what the Church teaches have to go around kicking us all the time? Do you believe what's in the Talmud? The Qur'an? (hint: both of those religions are against gay marriage, too). If not, then why not go after them for a change. Lively it up! Change it around! Do something really novel and interesting and "cutting edge" for once! "Push that envelope!" Be "irreverent" (that's a good thing now, right?)! You really want to shock the bourgeoisie, then poke some fun at those Noahide Laws the Lubavitchers want everyone to follow (if you don't know what I'm talking about, Google around. And don't miss info on the punishment for breaking one of those rabbinical laws (which worshiping Jesus as the Son of God would amount to):  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Laws_...Punishment ) ! That oughta do it for you! Imagine the ratings! "If Lubavitchers had their way, Christians would be beheaded!" -- and no one even KNOWS about this stuff!

Really, paisan', I'd love to know why show biz types not only want to attack the Catholic Church all the time, but also why -- how -- they are able to do so with no repercussions whatsoever, not even in the form of "Wow, that's a teeny-tad politically incorrect, n'est-ce pas?" from anyone but Catholics?  If you're going to mention clergy sexual abuse (which, in spite of what all the late-night comedians like to say, invariably was not pedophilia, but homosexual ephebophilia), please, please read the following links. Or at least scan them. And send them around to other creative types. The nonsense really has to stop:

Catholic Church vs Public Schools Sex Abuse:

Sexual Abuse is Not a Catholic Problem:

And as an aside:

Madrid Chief Rabbi: Homophobic Hater Yet No Calls By Media To Change Religion

Really, brother, paisan', please, can we Catholics out here get a little mercy? Some basic common decency? Some simple human respect? If you don't want to do it for God or for the Church, consider doing it for the sake of our ancestors. Or if you don't want to do it for either of those causes, at least spread the "love" around a little and let's hear something about those Lubavitcher Jews and Muslims and Hindus or something. Man!

Peace out.

I stopped watching American Horror Story at the second season because of the way nuns were portrayed.

So glad I ain't paying for Skinemax (since it's always soft-core porno after midnight)....I'd love to see a show about ISIS, or the Jews of Spain that caused the Inquisition......why not?

Everyone has some dirt on their hands.

Another tiresome lie out of Hollyweird.

These attempts to brainwash uninformed Catholics who don't attend Mass are quite simply of satan. The weapon of prayer and sacrifice is needed.

>:(How disgusting.

I thank the Lord that Cinemax is not available here in my home, for some other reason.
