Grandma Broke Her Hip, Transferred to Hospice
#1
My grandma fell while trying to go to the bathroom by herself early Monday morning and broke her hip. She can't have surgery because her kidney function is so low that she wouldn't survive it, so she's being transferred to the "real" hospice today. Her doctor estimates that she has only a couple of months left to live. She keeps asking us when she can come home. She's in a lot of pain and is very confused and forgetful. She never did agree to see the priest for the Sacraments, and her mind is so far gone now that I don't think she could make a confession even if she wanted to.

Please pray that she may accept God's mercy in her final moments.

My Priest just called me to say that he visited my grandma in the hospice last night, and offered her the Last Rites. AND SHE ACCEPTED!  ;D I am so happy, so incredibly relieved! Deo gratias and Ave Maria!  ;D ;D
