Traditional catholic arguments against Zionism.

If Israel is to exist as a Jewish state, what, then, is to be done with the nearly two million people in Gaza, and the nearly three million in the West Bank?

Ironically, this thread could become yet another argument against traditional Catholicism.  I can tell you that certain traditionalists' paranoia about Jews was a major factor in preventing me from going to my first traditional Latin Mass for a long, long time.

Some of the people dearest to me as a child, as a teenager and right up to the present are Jews.  And so I find this kind of garbage offensive and counterproductive.

Focus on your own salvation and sanctification.  I can assure you that an obsession with "Zionism" will hinder the second and could eventually imperil the first.

That and the crazies howling conspiracy theories that sound like a David Icke book.

Why, a Palestinian state, of course!  Obvious, really. :)

Yup.  Of course, if it chooses to engage in acts of war against the neighboring state, it should be prepared to embrace the consequences.

just chiming in.

If the geopolitical state of modern isreal is from God, it doesnt need U.S aid period, they are "Set".
if it isnt from God, they still dont need our help.

to me, zionism like protestantism, messianic judiasm, and benny hinn have no historical basis in organized religon/dogma, hence have no credibility.

to drop porn on your enemies,  to allow immoral "marriages", abortions, etc  doesnt seem like the geopolitical state is a second advent of the hebrew nation.

that, and  Israel is the church. the Church is Israel. so if anything, perhaps both the present state, and the palestinians are on our land?

Was that not that exactly the case in 1948, when the Arab portion of Palestine invaded the newly created state of Israel?

If there was any time an Arab war against Israel was just, it was in 1948.

Israel was not the product of some peaceful and innocent settlement project. It was the product of a decade of terrorism, murder, and land theft. Go watch any old newsreel to see farms bulldozed and hotels blown up to establish this evil state.

Then why would the United Nations even create such an evil state, after having fought against such evils only 3 years prior?  ???
