Classical/Trivium Education for Adults
#1
How can an adult Catholic such as myself-deprived of the classical Trivium education (instead having been raised in public, progressive education)-give his/her self a classical Trivium education?

I'd first go here and take the audio course to set the ground work.  Then, I'd go here start the meat 'n potatoes.

@dcmaccabees: that second link is grandly overwhelming--thanks.

@Sequentia: Sister Miriam Joseph's The Trivium is the go-to work. Here is the Amazon link:

Also, if you have not read it, definitely read Dorothy Sayer's speech "The Lost Tools of Learning."

Thanks for this. I was unaware of it. I just bought it on Kindle for 99 cents!

And I finished reading it a few hours ago. It's great. And it encouraged me to spend $9.99 for Sr Miriam Joseph's book.

You won't be disappointed. If I had to narrow down my personal library to only twenty-five books (a cruel thought experiment), Sister's book would make the cut. A non-believing friend of mine once told me that he reads this book with a religious seriousness.
