Straight razor shavers?

Closer shave, isn't it?

It can be really expensive to get started; about the best deal I've found for a new straight is from Dovo and Boker for about $90-$100.  If you're interested in straights, whipped dog's "sight unseen razor" is probably the best deal going at $47.  That's where I got the white one above.  The nice thing is that then you'll never have to buy blades or cartridges again.  That's a big part of what got me into it. Plus the honing and stropping is fun and relaxing.  My oldest daughter wants to bring over a guy she's interested in for the wife and I to meet.  Would it be inappropriate for me to be stropping while he walks in?

The soap is made by a group of nuns.

Thanks for the link.  I'm not sure if those would work as shave soaps, but if it supports a convent and smells good as a hand soap, I'm game.

Glad I can be of assistance.  Perhaps my presence on this forum hasn't been void of purpose.

I made the switch and have never regretted it.

Just tried it, and these are hand soaps, definitely not shaving soaps.

That being said, the sales do benefit a convent, and the blood orange & bergamot soap smells amazing!

I have no idea what the heck a bergamot is, but the soap smells great.
