Silicon Valley's quest to live forever
Interesting article from the New Yorker:

It's long but worth reading because several assumptions are being made in the article by the billionaires who fund these "I wanna live forever" schemes. First, that the Earth will be in such a wonderful state that you would actually want to be around. Second, that the complex technological/corporate infrastructure we have right now, will persist, thereby allowing people who are frozen today (upon their death) will be revived in 100 years when things "will be better". Note the unquestioned faith that Silicon Valley has in the myth of progress.
