Fishie Preppers?

The arguments I hear from people opposed to prepping are nothing short of bizarre, and alot of these folks come from within the Catholic Church ! I've heard way out claims that Preppers have no trust in God, eagerly await doomsday, apocalyptic showdowns with the government, and some of the strangest accusations of all, prepping is somehow a violation of the catechism, because your neighbor is equally entitled to everything you've stored up under the ultimate destination of goods.

Yeah, that's all nutters.

This is socialism at it's finest. And for those who think that way,  I have to wonder why wait for the chastisement? Why don't they just start giving their resources away right now? Lots of people need what they have--today. Ya know?

Get some shelf stable food. You're very lucky if you have good neighbors and firearms for self defense are a good idea.

Many of the preppers I know have small children, and the very last thing in the world they want to be involved in, is a violent showdown with anyone, AND that's the reason they talk about wanting to move to rural Wyoming, Montana, etc. New Age Catholics though would rather have their opinions formed by the radically secular media.

Well, I've upgraded my prepping.  I've canned before but I added a pressure canner so that I can do low acid veg and meat.  It's fun!  I've also gotten wheat berries and a gain mill.  I've got more land now and there is a robust bunny population around our property.  So, I think we could even set snares if we had to.

I can only speak for myself.  I have kids.  I don't want them adversely effected by bad weather or a natural disaster.  I won't let them starve . . .   I'm not in it for a showdown but I will protect my family alongside my husband.  I have bladed weapons for that reason and no other.  Besides, if the government really wanted "a showdown" with someone with a rifle, it would never be much of a contest.
My ipad keyboard hates me.  Please forgive the typos; they are unintentional.

Not really. I can't say I imagine even the most toxic of toxic trads slinging a brick through a window to get a TV.
