Please pray for the repose of my grandfather's soul
#1
My grandfather passed away today. He was in his 90s and hadn't been doing too well recently. He wasn't Catholic (I am a convert so most of my family aren't Catholic) .

Please pray for the repose of his soul and for comfort for myself and the rest of the family.

Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen.

Since he was not a Catholic, is it possible to have a Requiem Mass offered for him?
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

St Michael, pray for us.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most precious blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said Throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory. Amen.

Prayers of course. As to a Requiem, it seems to be up to the local Ordinary. Of course, there is absolutely no problem with having a Mass offered with the intention of the repose of his soul.
