Thank you! <3 I really appreciate the prayers :D I am so excited for baptism and confirmation. The first scrutiny was a very moving experience. I had to try very hard not to cry and be a bumbling mess LOL. I am quite literally counting down the days on a calendar :)

Having been baptised as an infant, I can't imagine the joy you must be anticipating when you are washed clean of sin! Prayers!

Thanks, Jovan :)

It is very exciting for sure! Each day it hits me that baptism is getting closer I find myself spending more time in meditation and prayer. I've taken the next three weeks off of work (I've not had a vacation in over 7 years so I have some accrued time LOL) so I can spend time re-reading my St. Teresa of Avila books (she's the Saint I chose :) ) and St. de Montfort's "True Devotion to Mary" as I plan on doing the consecration to Jesus through Mary as soon as possible.

I very much appreciate your prayers and the prayers of everyone who has offered them for me. They have, indeed, helped. <3

I was just saying Matins for today (a bit late, I admit!) and this was the Third Reading, from a Sermon By St Augustine of Hippo, on St John 9:1-38, the Parable of the Man born blind and the Pool of Siloam. I thought of you. I will be praying for you at Adoration this evening.

Quote:We have heard this great mystery. Ask of a man: Art thou a Christian? He answereth thee I am not. Then, if thou ask him: Art thou a pagan then, or a Jew? And he still saith unto thee Nay and thou say Art thou then a Catechumen, though not yet one of the faithful? and he saith Yea, a Catechumen then there thou seest a man anointed, but not yet washed. With what hath he been anointed? Ask of him, and he will tell thee. Ask of him in Whom he believeth, and, being a Catechumen, he will say: In Christ. But, behold, I speak before both Faithful and Catechumens. What said I touching the. Spittle and the clay? I said for 'the Word was made flesh.' This the Catechumens hear, but it is not enough for them to be anointed; they must make haste to the washing, if they would have their eyes opened.

First Palm Sunday for me today <3 The day is getting close, but so is the devil. I've had so many people try and convince me this is not my path (let alone my husband divorcing me because of this choice), but I'm staying strong (in fact, I'm more certain now than I have ever been); however, I could certainly use the prayers if you can all still spare them. I know I've been asking for them for a very long time now, and I appreciate them all.
