Of course, all the comments on Facebook were vociferously denying that any such thing as scientism exists!

Low-testosterone, myopic, consumerist millennial """"men"""" and their female counterparts who are so disconnected from their heritage and God that they confuse science for a worldview when it is merely a method.  Of course scientism does exist and it is epistemologically unsound.  There is absolutely no way to make the value judgments necessary to insist upon reductive positivism without using some sort of epistemology outside of that framework.  It's self-defeating.  But the bugmen who preach scientism don't think that far ahead.  They see Neil de Grasse Tyson memes on Faceberg and think they're suddenly science geeks.  It's amazing how you can make people think anything within one generation by alienating them from their past
