An easy way to evangelize visitors/strengthen others in their faith
#1
Lately, I have been dropping off sacramentals at my parish, either in pews or tucked away inside a bulletin. Even if you're strapped for cash like me, there are lots of places online that will mail you free religious items: Miraculous Medals, pictures, holy cards, novena pamphlets, Rosary pamphlets, green and brown scapulars, etc. I put them in little pouches with a note in capital letters like, "Free *insert item name here* inside!" with a description of what the sacramental is.

Just a suggestion for those who would like to share some effective prayers and sacramentals with others. :)

Items you can order for free if you live in the US:

https://americaneedsfatima.org/

Their Canadian branch:

https://www.canadaneedsourlady.org/free-...nal-items/

Free Miraculous Medal (US and Canada):

https://www.amm.org/Become%20a%20Member.aspx

A free kit of 14 Green Scapulars (one per address, per year):

https://greenscapular.org/Contact.html

^ disclaimer: they follow a contemporary alleged visionary, but the scapulars themselves are still fine. They oddly don't use a cord because of something the visionary said, but they can still be placed in rooms/on clothing/etc. Just take the visionary stuff with a couple of grains of salt.

Free icon:

^ disclaimer: the website is Orthodox, so you may receive a post-Schism saint from their sect. I personally received Rublev's portrayal of the Holy Trinity.

Free St. Michael Shield Medal (US):

https://www.americaneedsfatima.org/forms/WEB188.html

^ you may get an error message, but that's okay. I received the same message and still received one in the mail.

Free Brown Scapular (US):

Free Blessed Images of Our Lord and Our Lady (up to two each, under "Free Blessed Images"):

My only problem with these links is they are all TFP fronts.

If they send only the medals or sacramental, great!

My experience, though, is that they always include information, advertising or other such materials to try to get mailing list contacts for donors.

For all the good it does on certain fronts, TFP is a highly anti-clerical movement, so it really ought to be avoided.

If you email them and request to be taken off their mailing list, they will do so.

They are legally required to do so.

That's not my point. The point is that if they give you free stuff absent any advertising of their anti-clerical group, then great! If not, then you're better off not promoting their errors.

Ahh, I see. I do understand the concern. I've heard conflicting things about TFP.

Some of the other links have nothing to do with that organization. :)

Here's a bit on TFP (Article). Not exhaustive, but at least it begins to give an idea.

As regards the links, I stand corrected. Only the America Needs Fatima, and Canada Needs Our Lady are TFP fronts.
