Question about fiddleback chasubles

Eh I've always found the fiddleback chasuble to have an ugly shape, looks like a massive lobster bib from the front, it can be nice from the back however.

It's sad to see traditionalists firmly hold onto this style, and not the older, far more beautiful (so called) "gothic" style. My guess is that it's probably because it was the style before the reforms, and that they are generally decorated in a more appealing way than the new ones.
