Mass change 5 years ago
#1
Hello
New to the website so maybe this has been addressed.

Did anyone feel the beauty of the Holy Mass was lost with the changes back in 2012?  I have felt lost since.
I stopped going to communion for the first couple of years.  I've rectified that by saying the prayers of the
mass the way I grew up.  I still say the prayers silently but only in the 'old' way.  Has anyone else gone
through this??

I was overjoyed when Rome cracked down on a faulty, shoddy translation. Now if they'd just crack down on some of the other abuses.

Could be worse. You could have been present for that ...

I'm not sure even Dante could have imagined such a circle ...

Guys all the mass changes 448 years ago with Pius V's missal have been really troubling me, in order to cope during mass I belt the missing sequences out-loud over the Gospel and I haven't been allowed in Church since, I miss the 1560s :(

You too! I thought I was alone in that boat.

I only recently finally got my reprint of the Gelasian Sacramentary, so 750 here we come!

Yes, Jovan, I know what you were tempted to post, so I will pre-empt.

This is option #2, and I'm enjoying how it's playing out.
